Early Days: Celestial Harp at World Symposium of Humanity

The Celestial Harp at the World Symposium of Humanity

This represented the birth of the Celestial Harp. The strings were put on for the first time twelve hours before the opening. The initial tuning was totally random and somewhat sequential. I actually spend the whole week of the Symposium adjusting the tuning. My friend Vere Griffith came from Montreal and put his art work on display around the room for the symposium. This created a wonderful and inspiring visual environment.

But it was a glamorous birth! Everyone was impressed and I was relieved. Old friends and new friends came by.

Alan Ginsberg came in and he came over and strummed all of the strings around the Celestial Harp. It was a symbolic blessing and an affirmation.
